Whangaroa is a stunning natural harbour covered in native bush. The Whangaroa harbour is mostly protected as a nature reserve, with untouched areas featuring spectacular rock outcrops and stunning views. There are many accessible walkways and hiking tracks in the area, or for a more relaxed time, can be viewed by boat. This harbour is also an excellent place to access the world famous fishing grounds off the east coast for marlin and game fishing – and also for excellent snapper fishing. |
